Mission Statement

The Pulse is for ages 13 - 16yrs

Location - The Pulse will be in Cam Youth Centre 

 
Time and dates - Every Sunday evening 7pm - 9pm

Our Mission is to focus on reaching the lost, downtrodden & disaffected youth in the Dursley, Cam, Wotton and surrounding area and to give support and life in to existing youth groups, to tap into existing  networks of youth connection in the area and to be a place where the Christian youth can bring non-Christian friends without being embarrassed.

The Pulse introduces God in a relevant way using music, multi media, interactive actions, live testimonies, web links etc, whilst giving space to meet with God in a real, life changing way.

Glow -in the dark! To be a light in families, school and friends
The Pulse teaches & demonstrates God’s love for everyone, no one left out! There is a future, hope and life for everyone in God
Glue - together! To have friendships of a lasting, loyal, real substance
The Pulse encourages friendships outside of the “click” with understanding and patience for one another, providing the space for individuality of expression, accountability & respect toward one another & GOD
Grow - Up, In & Out! To experience more of God,

and to allow change to happen in relationship "up, in and out"    "up" with God, "In"- side personal growth, "Out" side of our selves in relationship with others. The Pulse will encourage, challenge, give opportunity to exercise all 3 in expression of relationship, worship, service to one another, prayer, outward action in the community etc
Give - a hand! To experience what it is to give to others

To make a difference in the community, families, and people less fortunate than themselves - Growing in confidence that they can make a difference in someone’s life, that they have a purpose in God in this time & in this place! The Pulse will give opportunity to reach out in the community by providing action though out the year – Community projects, serving meals, giving a show to children, helping the elderly with shopping, painting a community hall, visiting the sick, visiting the elderly, praying for people, giving financial support to less fortunate, gardening, etc
Glad - to be alive in God!

To experience what it is to be free in worship, expression, dance, creative movement, to be loud!, to use energy, to be glad that God loves us! The Pulse will provide space for fun, games, singing & dancing in all styles with passion for God with laughter and energy!
